George Katsangelos
SECOND HAND PHOTOGRAPHY
Photos in second use. Family and personal photos, photos that served other artistic purposes and more, are combined to create fantastic spaces. In the reconstructed visual world, images, drawings and engravings coexist that have their origin in different time moments and realities even in readers of the nineteenth century. The photographer traces his personal memories and fantasies by articulating an iconography that seeks answers that often loaf quietly and insidiously in the realm of the unconscious.
